Prospect will hold Valentine’s Supper

I hope each of you had a wonderful Valentine’s Day.

On Friday, the Randolph District Fire Department Auxiliary will be serving spaghetti dinners from 4:30-6:30 p.m. for a donation at the door.

The fire department is on Route 45. Besides the spaghetti dinner, there will be three great raffles each worth $100 or more. Tickets are $5 each or three for $10. Come out and enjoy the dinner and the good fellowship. Hope to see you there.

The Prospect Fire Department Auxiliary will have its annual Valentine’s Supper on Saturday.

They will be serving pancakes and trimmings from 5-7 p.m. The cost is a donation at the door. Come on out and enjoy pancakes and good fellowship.

On Sunday, following church services, Mrs. Flora Bolt was joined by family members Mrs. Judy Bolt, Jennifer Page Bolt, Chris Bolt, Alexa Moser, Garland Woodson and his son Wallace Woodson of Henrico for lunch at LaParota Grill.

Mrs. Rita Utzinger, Mrs. Pat Smith and her daughter-in-law, Mrs. Dianna Smith, met for breakfast at Merk’s last Friday morning. Following breakfast, Pat and Dianna spent the morning shopping together.

Sunday afternoon Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Smith traveled to Lynchburg with their granddaughter, Brianna. They celebrated Brianna’s 19th birthday with lunch at a Vietnamese restaurant followed by shopping.

Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Smith attended the Faith Bible Fellowship’s Valentine’s Dinner on Monday.

Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Smith had lunch at Ruby Tuesday’s on Valentine’s Day. 

Mr. and Mrs. Richard Stockton visited with Mr. and Mrs. George Moore on Friday.

Neighbors and Friends are extending their sincere heartfelt sympathy to the family of Mrs. Joyce Ann Campbell Floyd. Joyce will be missed by all those who knew and loved her.

Friends and neighbors are praying for a speedy recovery for Betty Meadows, George Moore, Ray George, Gary Fiscus, Jean P. Derrenbacker, Betty Jean Bolt and Mildred Harvey Shanks.

The Rev. Buddy Woodson, of Scottsville, will be with the members of Appomattox P.E. Presbyterian Church at Tuggle on Sunday.

Calvary Chapel-Farmville invites you to worship with them on Sunday mornings at 10:30 a.m. They invite you to join them each week on Wednesday evening for Bible Study for all age groups at 7 p.m. The church is located at 302 Industrial Park Road, in the former Stackpole-Carbone building.
