As I read the headline in the Feb. 15 edition, “Bartlett gets new contract,” I couldn’t help but ask myself what the citizens of Prince Edward County will get out of this. 

Another three recommendations for a tax increase?

I don’t think Bartlett ever met a tax increase that he didn’t like! I see only two supervisors voted against this new contract, and again, I thought, “Surely we have more than two smart members on the board of supervisors!”

To the residents of Prince Edward County, I can only say get ready for the tax increase recommendations as they are surely coming!
