La Bete set at Hampden-Sydney
Written in rhymed couplets of iambic pentameter and set in 17th century France, La Bete is an antic comedy that recounts the arrival of a vulgar street performer, Valere, into an elite company of veteran actors, led by dignified and stuffy Elomire. Two more performances can be seen Thursday and Friday at 8 p.m. in Johns Auditorium at Hampden-Sydney College.
