The third-seeded Buckingham County High School varsity boys basketball team lost 70-55 to host and No. 2 seed Chatham High School on Wednesday in the Courthouse Conference 37 tournament semifinals.

The Knights led 14-10 after the first quarter, but the Cavaliers recovered to win the second quarter 19-8 and the third quarter 24-14.

Buckingham senior guard Antonio Chambers poured in 29 points and senior guard Gray Heslip scored nine points, each playing in their final game as a Knight.

The team that finished 10-11 overall will lose three players to graduation, including forward Sean Ayers.
