Regarding the proposed roundabout at High Street, Oak Street and Griffin Boulevard, this is a great idea!

I come to Farmville every week and avoid this intersection.

Roanoke County has two located in school zones, and they work like a charm and carry much more traffic.

They have been in place several years and certainly solved the traffic problem without causing more problems. One is on Merriman Road at Penn Forest Elementary School and the new county library. The other is on Colonial Avenue at North Cross School. They relieved congestion and work perfectly. Also, no stop light maintenance.
