The 10th-seeded Fuqua School varsity boys basketball team lost 58-46 Tuesday night to host No. 7 Roanoke Catholic School in the first round of the Virginia Independent Schools Athletic Association Division III state tournament.

Senior power forward Julian Gee led the Falcons with 25 points, while junior point guard Tyler Thomas added 13 points.

Despite the loss, Fuqua finished the 2016-17 season with an impressive record of 15-4.
