Barry L. Wells, 80, of Danville passed away at home on Monday, January 30, 2017. He was born February 26, 1936 in Farmville to the late Robert Oakes Wells and Mae Page Wells.

Mr. Wells was a member of the Farmville Baptist Church and a veteran of the United States Air Force.  He came to Danville with the Sherwin Williams Company, then owned and operated his own business, The Paint Store, Inc., until his retirement.

He is survived by his wife, Elma Mackey Wells of the residence; brother, Robert Lucius Wells and wife, Suzanne of Madison Heights; a daughter, Elizabeth Wells Shupik; a son, Douglas N. Wells of Huntsville, AL; two grandchildren, Christine P. Hey and Isaiah R. Guzman and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held on Friday, February 3 from Townes Memorial Chapel with the Pastor Joey Yeatts officiating.  Interment followed at Westview Cemetery in Farmville.
