A two-vehicle accident occurred on U.S. Route 460 near Trinity Memorial Gardens at approximately 1:30 p.m. Friday. A small white sedan was up against the guardrail and a blue truck was parked in the far lane 30-40 feet behind, with emergency vehicles further up the road. The Prince Edward Rescue Squad was leaving at approximately 1:45 p.m. as the Rice Volunteer Fire Department, Prince Edward County Sheriff’s Office and Virginia State Police continued investigation on scene.
