Sorority holds Financial Workshop

The Kappa Rho Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha (AKA) Sorority recently sponsored a financial workshop entitled “Budgeting to Build Financial Wealth” at the Victoria Public Library. The workshop was aimed to address one of the five AKA 2014-2016 Program Targets — “Family Strengthening Through Fiscal Responsibility.” Topics included in the workshop were a broad spectrum of financial strategies, business practices and methods for achieving financial freedom. It was designed to help families and communities to grow, to invest in their future and develop solid financial strategies. Christopher G. Smith, CEO of G&G Demands LLC, of Washington, D.C., was the guest presenter. His company provides consulting services to small businesses. He is a native of Lunenburg County and the son of George and Mary Smith of Victoria. AKA a community service organization whose motto is “Service to All Mankind.”
