Del. James E. Edmunds II, R-Halifax, recently presented a framed copy of House Joint Resolution 479, recognizing Farmville as Virginia’s first two-college town and the first two-college town in America, to college and town leaders. “It is with pleasure that I present this resolution to the Town of Farmville in recognition of this truly unique situation,” Edmunds said. “It’s a great honor for the people of Farmville to have this nationally recognized designation, and it was my pleasure to recognize them.” We commend Edmunds for helping put Farmville in the spotlight for its distinctiveness and rich history.
