Peggy Ann Staton Cyrus Henderson, 74, of Pamplin, died Saturday, January 7, 2017 at her residence. Born in Lynchburg, December 5, 1942, Peggy was a member of Prospect Gospel Tabernacle and retired from Appomattox Garment Factory as a seamstress.

She is survived by two children, Roger L. Mayberry and wife, Monica of Concord and Shelia M. Womack and husband, Henry of Pamplin; four grandchildren, Devonne M. Hall and husband, Joshua, Melissa M. Brown and husband, Eric, Michael W. Mills and wife, Courtney and Jacob L. Taylor; four great-grandchildren, Laylah G. Hall, Joshua R. Hall, Jace R. Mills and Rylen D. Brown; two brothers, Robert C. Staton and James O. Cyrus; five sisters, Barbara C. Carrico, Elsie S. Johns, Jean C. Mayberry, Virginia C. Dalton and Donna C. Staton. She was preceded in death by her husband, Owen A. Henderson, parents, Margaret B. Cyrus, Adolphus R. Cyrus and Rudell E. Staton, and a daughter, Peggy Marie Taylor, and the father of her children, Twyman Mayberry.

A funeral service will be held 11:30 a.m., Saturday, January 14 at Prospect Gospel Tabernacle, 4307 West Prince Edward Highway, Prospect, VA 23960 with the Rev. Gary Stoots officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. After the internment, all are invited to a fellowship meal in the church fellowship hall. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

Peggy requested in lieu of flowers that friends and family please bring a covered dish for a fellowship luncheon to celebrate her life following the service or make a contribution to Prospect Gospel Tabernacle Cemetery Fund, PO Box 71, Prospect, VA 23960.
