O’Neal, Daves-Johnson set the bar

Our community is very fortunate and blessed to have people living here who want to help others. This comes in the form of taking food to the sick, anonymously giving money to someone to help pay bills or giving a stranger a ride so they don’t have to walk in the pouring rain. Two people who’ve done a great deal of good for the people of Prince Edward County are Henry O’Neal, a Hampden-Sydney College student, and community leader Alecia Daves-Johnson. Over the past three years, both O’Neal and Daves-Johnson have worked together in organizing projects to help our community — notably the tire clean up at Prospect last year, and the assistance offered in building an outdoor classroom for Prince Edward students over the weekend. We thank O’Neal and Daves-Johnson for their leadership in the community, which inspires others to do good deeds.(Send “Way to Go” photos with names and a description to WayToGo@FarmvilleHerald.com.)
