James R. “Jim” Arthur, 74, of Columbia, passed away January 28, 2017.

He is survived by his wife, Lois R. Arthur; two children, Kim Lightfoot (Danny) and James R. “Little Jim” Arthur (Michelle); three siblings, Howard (Nancy), Donald (Charlene), Penny; and five grandchildren, Tiffany (David), Amber, Kaitlyn, Kyle and Kendall. He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Ola Arthur and nephew, Rusty.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. in the Bennett & Barden Funeral Home, 3215 Anderson Hwy. (Rt. 60) Powhatan.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. Cartersville Baptist Church, with interment in Cartersville Cemetery.
