Chantal O’Keefe, left, accepts over $200 from library employee Katharine Bloodworth. The money was raised during “Wrapping for a Claws,” a program where Bloodworth, along with her sisters and friends, wrapped Christmas gifts at the J. Robert Jamerson Memorial Library in Appomattox in exchange for either pet food or a monetary donation. All pet food and other pet-related items were donated to the Appomattox County Animal Shelter, and all proceeds went to Animal Welfare Action Group.
