YOUTH BOOK SWAP, 10 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Buckingham branch library. Start fresh in the new year by bringing in gently used books from home and trade them in for “new to you” books. Board books, picture books, chapter books and any other book intended for children or teens are welcome.

CMEC BENEFIT PROGRAM, 2 p.m. for Bright Hope Center, 3883 Cumberland Roadd, Cumberland, with Food and Open Gospel Mic. Featured guest is Brother Earnest Allen and Voices of Praise, Brother Chris Lewis, of Mt. Airy, and others, in addition to New Creation at 4 p.m.

CONCERT, 3 p.m. by the All for Christ and More Than Blessed at the VFW Hall in Buckingham, located on Route 60. Concert will benefit Pastor Michael Mosley and First Lady Porscha Mosley, who will be traveling to Nairobi, Kenya in Africa on a mission trip.

WINTER PROGRAMMING PARTNERSHIP, 7 p.m. High Bridge Trail State Park invites you to attend a “Come in from the Cold” winter programming partnership with the Farmville-Prince Edward Community Library, 1303 W. 3rd St. Ranger Bob Flippen presents a PowerPoint presentation on “Faith and Poverty, The Farmville-Powhatan Railroad.” All are welcome to attend. PASTORAL ANNIVERSARY, 2:30 p.m. at the Midway Baptist Church for the Rev. Irma T. Watson.
