Cumberland County School Board members recognized students of the month during their December meeting Monday. They recognized first-grader Channing Bailey, right, the son of Jennifer Morris and Joseph Bailey; and ninth-grader Sam Abbasi, the son of Alex Abasi of Cartersville. The board also recognized eighth-grader Devonde Holden, the son of Gail Holman and Douglas Townsend.
