Amy Rowan, pictured, graduated from Centra College of Nursing on Dec. 16. She is currently a full-time employee with and the elected secretary of the Prince Edward Rescue Squad, a volunteer with Farmville Fire Department and an associate member with Meherrin Volunteer Fire and Rescue. She attended college while working two jobs and helping raise a 7-year-old son. She is married to Chris and resides in Farmville.
