Douglas and JoAnn Vaughan, of Cumberland, met Octavia Spencer, who portrays Dorothy Vaughan, one of the NASA “computers” featured in the upcoming film “Hidden Figures.” The two were special guests at the recent movie premiere and reception at NASA Langley Research Center in Hampton. The Vaughan family also met NASA Administrator Charles Bolden and Katherine Johnson, another of NASA’s “computers,” portrayed by actress Taraji P. Henson.
