Dukes stand out on track in Woodberry Forest Invitational
Cumberland High School’s boys and girls indoor track teams produced some highlights at their latest meet, the Woodberry Forest School Indoor Invitational.
The boys 4×800-meter relay team for Cumberland placed second with a time of eight minutes, 45.72 seconds.
Following up a remarkable senior cross country season, Matthew Bapties is running track again for the Dukes and placed fourth in the boys 1600-meter run with a time of 4:47.05.
Munirah Fulani finished the girls 500-meter run with a time of 1:31.47 to claim fifth place.
In the boys 1000-meter run, Jared Halvorsen was seventh with a 2:54.74 time.
