Dr. David B. Stein, 73, of Richmond, passed away Sunday, December 18, 2016. He was an accomplished author and a professor of psychology and criminal justice. He was deputized with the Prince George Co. Police Department and as a criminal profiling consultant for Petersburg and the Virginia State Police.

He is survived by his two sons, David Alexander Stein and his wife, Elizabeth, and William Kevin Stein, as well as two grandchildren, Caydence Katherine Stein and Addalynne Ella Stein. Dr. Stein is preceded in death by his parents, Abraham and Evelyn Cohen Stein and his sister, Dorothy.

Funeral services will be announced later.
