CHRISTMAS EVE CANDLELIGHT SERVICE, 5:30 p.m. at Oakwood UMC, 1291 Columbia Road, Columbia.

CHRISTMAS EVE SERVICE, 6 p.m. at Cedar Baptist Church, 3932 Bell Road, Dillwyn.

CHRISTMAS EVE SERVICE, 10 a.m. at Cornerstone Baptist Church, 16 Horsepen Road, Farmville. Joint choirs will sing. There will not be a Dec. 25 service. Pastor Lee Watkins Jr. will preach.

CHRISTMAS EVE SERVICE, 5 p.m. at Heritage Baptist Church, 700 Milnwood Road, Farmville. Everyone is welcome.

DECEMBER 25

MORNING WORSHIP SERVICE, 9 a.m. at Calvary Baptist Church, Burkeville.

CHRISTMAS DAY WORSHIP SERVICE, 11 a.m. At Forest Baptist Church. All are welcome.

MORNING WORSHIP SERVICE, 10 a.m. instead of 11 a.m. at Calvary Baptist Church, 1144 Hendricks Road, Pamplin.

CHRISTMAS DAY WORSHIP SERVICE, 10 a.m. at Calvary Baptist Church, Prospect. Come out with us as we celebrate the birth of Christ.

CHRISTMAS DAY WORSHIP SERVICE, 11 a.m. at Heritage Baptist Church, 700 Milnwood Road, Farmville. Everyone is welcome.

CHRISTMAS SERVICE, 10 a.m., at Jericho Baptist Church (formerly Race Street Baptist). All are welcome to join us. Rev. Dr. James H. Taylor III is pastor.

DECEMBER 27

BLOOD DRIVE, 1-6 p.m., at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 1301 Milnwood Road, Farmville.

JANUARY 1

ANNUAL CHRISTMAS CANTATA, 11 a.m. at Oakwood UMC, 1291 Columbia Road, Columbia. “O Holy Night” will be sung by the choir.

FIRST DAY HIKES AT HIGH BRIDGE, 2 p.m. A ranger will guide a short easy hike across High Bridge and back. Total length of the hike is approximately 1 mile. At 3 p.m. a more strenuous hike will begin that guides participants to a rarely visited part of the park along an abandoned rail line constructed to divert traffic when High Bridge was out of service for maintenance in 1870. Total distance is almost 2 miles and varies from easy to strenuous in places. The Friends Group for the Park will be present with refreshments and a warm campfire.

JANUARY 5
