The men’s basketball teams from Longwood University and Hampden-Sydney College each recorded their third win of the season Wednesday evening.

The Lancers defeated visiting Averett University 86-67, fueled by a career-high 24 points from senior guard Darrion Allen. Redshirt sophomore guard Isaiah Walton added 17 points.

The host Tigers handed William Peace University an 86-74 loss, the Pacers’ first Old Dominion Athletic Conference defeat of the season. Leading the way for H-SC was sophomore point guard Logan Samuels with a career-high 21 points.
