The Piedmont Community Health Coalition (PCHC) recently received grant funds to purchase a group of fitness equipment to share with its partners.

The equipment includes resistance bands, medicine balls, ladder games and a variety of other pieces that can be used across age groups. Current PCHC member organizations that have access to the equipment include Piedmont Senior Resources, Southside Virginia Family YMCA, town of Farmville Recreation Department, Crossroads Community Service Board at Town House, Prince Edward Cooperative Extension Office and the Family Nutrition Program.

Lonnie Calhoun, a Piedmont Community Health Coalition member, recently instructed a class at Piedmont Senior Resources using equipment purchased through grant funds.
