Marvin Ray Stinson, 90, of New Canton, died November 14, 2016 at his home.  He was a U. S. Navy Veteran of World War II and a 62-year Mason with The Joppa Lodge #0040.

He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Mae Joyce Waring Stinson; son, Ray Waring Stinson and wife, Tresca; daughter, Debra Sue Stinson Kinser and her husband, David; 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, November 17 at 11 a.m. at the Greenwood Memorial Gardens, 12609 Patterson Avenue, Richmond, VA 23238.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6 until 8 p.m. at the Dunkum Funeral Home, Dillwyn. Memorial contributions may be made to the Arvonia Volunteer Fire Department, PO Box 55, Arvonia, VA 23004.
