Join the Buckingham Halloween tradition of driving through Spooky Hollow at the Historic Village at Lee Wayside, Saturday evening, 7-9 p.m. This popular fundraiser for the Historic Village has been held for more than 16 years and promises much mirth for everyone. There will be goblins, coffins, witches, a headless horseman (with a real horse) and sweet treats for participants. A minimum donation of $10 for each car or truck is requested. A witch who has asked to remain anonymous has assured us they “have been waiting for you.”

Bethlehem Baptist Church, 393 Winfrey Inez Road, is inviting everyone to its Family Fun Day on Sunday from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Sunday school is at 9 a.m., with the worship service at 10 a.m. Lunch and the festivities are from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. There will be a chili cook off, hotdogs, popcorn, candy, face painting, a bounce house, pumpkin painting, cakewalk and other games and prizes.

Smyrna United Methodist Church, 3377 S. James Madison Hwy., near Sheppards, will host the Prospect Charge’s Fifth Sunday on Sunday. The Rev. Billy Swan of Dillwyn will share a slide presentation at 4 p.m. of his trip this year to the Holy Land. A potluck dinner will follow at 5:30 p.m. The community is welcome to attend.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Farm Service Agency (FSA) has launched a new tool to provide farmers and ranchers with remote access to their personal farm information using their home computers. Farmers and ranchers can now view, print or export their personal farm data without having to visit a FSA county office. The program, known as FSAfarm+, provides farmers with secure access to their personal data such as base and yields, conservation reserve program data, conservation program acreage, highly erodible land as well as wetland conservation status information, field boundaries, farm imagery and more.

The data will be available in real time and at no cost to the producer, allowing operators and owners to export and print farm records and maps. Producers can also share their data electronically with a crop insurance agent from their own personal computer. Farm operators and owners will first need to complete “Level 2 eAuthentication” to be able to access the web portal. This level of security ensures personal information for each user is protected. Level 2 access can be obtained by going to www.eauth.usda.gov, completing the required information and then visiting your local FSA office to finalize access. For more information on FSAfarm+ or the customer self-service portal, contact your local FSA office. Click on http://offices.usda.gov to find your local FSA office.

Everyone is invited to the Fifth Sunday Night Singing of Chestnut Grove Baptist Church, at the intersection of Francisco and Chestnut Grove Church Roads, on Sunday at 6 p.m. with music by Voice of Praise. A love offering will be taken.

Also on Sunday, First Baptist Church in Dillwyn will hold a fundraiser to benefit Brandy Johnson who needs a wheelchair and a walk-in shower. There will be a soup and sandwich supper beginning at 6 p.m., followed by a talent show and music in the fellowship hall at 7 p.m. All donations are greatly appreciated.
