Sorority Participates in Community Impact Activity

Sorority members of the Kappa Rho Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. recently participated in the Longest Day Alzheimer’s Support Activity at the Wayland Nursing Home and Rehab Center in Keysville. Sorority members Cynthia Evans, Sasha Johnson, Mary Smith and Linda Whitehead and the senior citizen residents participated in the game of Bingo and the reading of poems. Gifts were also given to the residents. The activity also occurred at the Heritage Hall Nursing Home in Dillwyn, where sorority members had an enjoyable visit with the residents where inspirational reading were presented. The sorority members who participated in the activity were Bobbie Holman, Joyce Booker, Elizabeth Hoyles-Washington and Vera Cooke-Merritt. Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. is a community service organization whose motto is “Service to all Mankind.”
