Libraries offer free computer classes

Central Virginia Regional Library is offering a variety of free computer classes for the public at both the Buckingham and Farmville-Prince Edward branches.
The following classes will be held in the meeting room of the Buckingham Library, 1140 Main St. in Dillwyn on Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m. and Thursdays at 6:30 p.m.
• Sept. 7 and 8: Computer Basics. Participants will learn how to turn on a computer, what the mouse and keyboard do and other beginning functions. No experience required.
• Sept. 14 and 15: Learn the Keyboard. This class will teach you the essential functions of the keyboard.
• Sept. 21 and 22: Everything Email! Learn how to create an email address, check email and write a message.
• Sept. 28 and 29: What Google Can Do for You! Learn how to search the internet with Google and find helpful websites.
The following classes will be held in the meeting room of the Farmville-Prince Edward Library, 1303 W. Third St. in Farmville on Thursdays at 6 p.m.
• Sept. 15: Mouse and Keyboard. Learn how to use the computer mouse and basic keyboard functions. No experience required.
• Sept. 22: Computer Basics. Participants will learn how to turn on a computer, what the mouse and keyboard do and other beginning functions. No experience required.
