The Patrick Henry Boys and Girls Home is a faith-based residential care facility that strives to build character for boys and girls who may be experiencing difficulties at home.
Patrick Henry is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization where 100 percent of donations are used to meet the needs of the children and families they serve. This year the Woman’s Club of Cumberland is heading a drive for school supplies. Items needed are: backpacks for boys and girls, calculators, flash drives, compasses, protractors, rulers, composition notebooks (black and white), subject dividers, foam boards, poster boards, tissues, graphing paper, three- and five-subject notebooks, college rule paper, AAA batteries, ear buds, glue sticks, highlighters, hand sanitizer, pocket folders, non-liquid white out, erasers and dry erase markers.
Donations should be dropped off at the Cumberland County Public Library by Sept. 30. Call Robin Sapp at (804) 492-5807 for more information.
