BUCKINGHAM — The Buckingham County School Board recently adopted a new concessions policy for high school sporting events.

The policy stipulates all outside vendor requests and contracts must be submitted through Buckingham County High School and approved by the school board. Clubs or organizations wanting to sell must have approval through the athletic director and principal utilizing a fundraising form. Clubs will receive 75 percent of profits and athletics will receive 25 percent after expenses are paid. “Transfer of funds (will) occur after the sporting event or season,” according to the policy … Items sold will not be regulated (free market) and competition is encouraged, however, it should not be to the detriment of each club. Communication between club sponsors is strongly encouraged to avoid any conflicts.”
