The three-time Big South Champion Longwood University softball team will host an August ID Clinic on Saturday, Aug. 20 at Lancer Field.

The clinic, open to athletes entering grades 8-12, is designed for serious, committed softball players who wish to enhance their skills for the next level. There are only 40 spots available, and the registration fee is $125.

During the camp, which will run 9 a.m.-5 p.m., athletes will go through the training, drills and challenges college athletes participate in. The training sessions will consist of defensive and offensive sessions along with a scrimmage.

Campers will have the opportunity to learn from college athletes, including current Longwood softball players, and they will gain one-on-one instruction from 2015 and 2016 Big South Coach of the Year Kathy Riley.
