Coming off its top finish a season ago since joining the Big South, Longwood University Men’s Golf Coach Kevin Fillman announced the squad’s fall slate to begin the 2016-17 schedule.

The Lancers compete in five states, including Virginia, West Virginia, Kentucky, Ohio and North Carolina.

The schedule features a good mix of both golf courses and playing fields. It opens with a grueling stretch of four tournaments in four weeks: the Marshall/Joe Feaganes Invitational (Sept. 12-13), the Eastern Kentucky/Raising Canes Intercollegiate (Sept. 17-18), the George Mason/Patriot Intercollegiate (Sept. 25-26) and the Cleveland State Invitational (Oct. 3-4).

The final tournament of the fall will see Longwood once again travel to the Old Dominion/OBX Collegiate (Oct. 23-25).

For the 2016-17 campaign, Longwood returns six lettermen from a young squad a season ago.
