The American Legion was organized in 1919 in Paris. More than 15,000 Legion posts are operating now in America. These posts are made up of veterans who have served in the military. The million-dollar question being asked of many veterans is to join a Legion post and become a member.

No matter what has happened in our lives, we can’t change it. Somehow, to many, it’s very hard to let go. But in order to move forward and look to help others, we must let the past go — a past blocking you from taking a step toward helping your fellow veterans.

This is what the Legion post in your area is doing. It’s all about love for another, and it must be put into action, no matter what. Somebody can use our help. Yes, you can make a difference. The different type of work done by posts can always use a new member to help.
