NEW CANTON – Area children needing behavioral health services will soon be able to find them at Central Virginia Health Services Inc. (CVHS) in New Canton thanks to a $125,000 grant from the Virginia Health Care Foundation (VHCF). The grant will enable CVHS to hire and bring a full-time Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner.

This is one of 28 grants totaling $2.5 million recently awarded by VHCF to increase access to dental, medical, behavioral health, and pharmacy services for uninsured and medically underserved Virginians and to help identify and enroll uninsured children in the state-sponsored FAMIS health insurance programs.
