Four Dillwyn Fire Department firefighters are leaving for college — a pretty impressive feat. The firefighters are, from left, Brent Davis, James Madison University; and Michael Allen, Cody Davis and Cody Smith, Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU). Cody Davis will be a sophomore at VCU, while the others will be starting as freshmen. While at college, Brent and Cody Davis will be volunteering with the Rockingham County Volunteer Fire Department, Hose Company No. 4.
