The Pamplin Old Time Music, Dance & Community Social has updated its Saturday night calendar for the rest of the year. There will not be a dance on Saturday. The next event will be Sept. 17 in conjunction with the Ralph M. Hamlett Memorial 5k Fun Run & Walk at Celebrate Pamplin. Details of the second annual 5k can be found on the social’s Facebook page. PALS and the race committee will host an after race breakfast and awards ceremony in the Pamplin Depot Freight Room. The Farm Use String Band will be there to teach some dances. There will also be a cakewalk on Sept. 17 around noon in the depot.
