Firefighters battled a vehicle fire Monday evening behind The Farmville Herald offices between North and Main streets. The fire, reported at about 6:40 p.m., damaged the rear of a Main Street building, where the vehicle was parked. Volunteers with the Farmville Volunteer Fire Department responded to the scene, quickly extinguishing the fire. There’s no word on the cause of the fire.
