Vacation Bible School at Heritage Baptist was held June 20-24. The directors, Toni Puckett, Erin Jones and Sam and Camille Rabon, along with teachers and staff, helped the children become submerged deeper in God’s word. The theme verse for the week was Psalm 139: 23-24, where they were encouraged to ask God to search their hearts and test their thoughts. The VBS motto was “Jesus sees, Jesus knows, Jesus saves.” In addition to Bible stories, the children played games, made crafts, and learned to sing and move to praise songs. The children also learned about missions as they prepared care packages for the residents of the men’s home located next to the church. Throughout the week, 31 children from the church and community participated. Almost 40 youth and adult volunteers were part of the event.
