Simpson calls special meeting on debate security

PRINCE EDWARD — Farmville 101 District representative and Board Chairman Howard Simpson has called a special meeting of the Prince Edward County Board of Supervisors for Tuesday at 5 p.m.
According to a county notice, the meeting will be held in closed session for a briefing on the planning by the Public Safety Unified Command for the Vice Presidential Debate at Longwood University.
The meeting will be held in the board’s third floor conference room in the courthouse.
Longwood University is set to hold the vice presidential debate on Oct. 3.
