Redbud Garden Club meets

The Redbud Garden Club met on June 28 at the home of Alice Metts with Ann Ligon and Joyce Thompson as hostesses.
Members planted shoes filled with succulents to use in their home landscape with assistance from Liz Dunn and Metts.
“It’s Tea Time” (a mass arrangement in a tea pot placed on a vintage handkerchief or doily) earned blue ribbons for Dunn, Janet Higgins, Ann Ligon, Metts, Geraldine Sanderson and Jo Smith.
Dottie Fahrner, April McBride, Sarah Schember and Kate Shorter received red ribbons with Patsy Miessler and Joyce Thompson receiving yellow.
Schember was awarded a blue ribbon for “Don’t Be Bamboozled” (an arrangement featuring bamboo). Mary Hazlegrove, Janet Higgins, Ligon and Smith each received a red.
Specimen ribbons were awarded to Janet Higgins, two blue, four red, two yellow; Ligon, one red; and Thompson, one blue.
