Katie Raymond, of Rice in Prince Edward County, was one of a school-record 170 Randolph-Macon College student-athletes named to the 2015-16 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) All-Academic Team. Hampden-Sydney College placed 62 student-athletes on the team.
Eligibility for the ODAC All-Academic Team is open to any student-athlete who competes in a conference-sponsored sport, regardless of academic class. He or she must achieve at least a 3.25 grade point average for the year to be considered for an ODAC All-Academic Award.
ODAC student-athletes set a record for the seventh straight season as 1,846 honorees comprise the all-academic team. Representatives from each of the conference’s 17 member institutions — 14 full-time and three associates — pushed the squad’s total over 1,000 for the 10th consecutive year.
