H-SC’s Bareford names tennis recruits

Hampden-Sydney College Head Tennis Coach Robert Bareford is bringing seven new faces to the program this fall, highlighted by a pair of North Carolina state champion twins and a Prince Edward High School graduate.

Matthew Moody and Michael Moody played for the varsity team at Millbrook High School in Raleigh, N.C., 2013-16, and they were Dual Team State Champions in 2013.

Davion Boxley, of Prince Edward, rose to hold the No. 1 singles and doubles spots in each of his four years of high school.

Among the other recruits, Grayson Burns was the No. 1 singles and doubles player for four years at Waynesboro High School, Clark Cummings helped Norfolk Academy win its conference three times, Christian Quick was an all-state doubles player his sophomore and junior seasons at Voyager Academy in Durham, N.C., and Levy Young was a three-time state qualifier for Hibriten High School in Lenoir, N.C.
