The Cartersville Garden Club held its annual luncheon at Trice’s Lake Club House on June 7. The tricolor “sweepstakes” award was given to Maria Baber, pictured, for her outstanding participation in horticulture and design for the 2015-16 year. The club has adjourned for the summer and will resume meeting in September. The club recently traveled to Debbie Parson’s “Deb’s Daylilies” in Randolph to see her daylily fields in full bloom.
