Florist’s project, young people spread joy to senior citizens

As part of Special Touch Design Florist and Gifts’ annual benevolent project, 250 flower arrangements in smiley-face mugs were distributed to residents of The Woodland in Farmville. The business participates in the project through Teleflora, which is celebrating its 16th year of Make Someone Smile Week. “Last year, through this initiative, we delivered over 25,000 ‘Be Happy Bouquets’ to people who deserved a little something extra to smile about,” Teleflora’s website noted. We commend Jonathan and Tracy Fitzgerald, owners of Special Touch, and those who distributed the flowers for brightening the days of our senior population.
