Congratulations to Julie Dayton, a Longwood University alumna, for being named to the National Lacrosse Hall of Fame.

When I was a young professor at Longwood, she and her teammates helped me to understand the fascinating sport of lacrosse, which was new to me. I had the opportunity to visit with her when she was inducted into the Longwood Hall of Fame in 2005. She is a great example for Longwood students.
