Four opponents that finished among the top 100 in last season’s RPI and three 2015 NCAA Tournament teams highlight Longwood University’s 2016 men’s soccer slate, as announced Thursday by Head Coach Jon Atkinson.

The schedule includes nine home contests, highlighted by a trip to Farmville by Atlantic Coast Conference foe Pittsburgh, as well as a visit from 2015 Big South co-regular season champions and NCAA Tournament participant Radford.

The Lancers face seven teams from Virginia, including Virginia Military Institute in the season opener, Virginia Tech, George Mason, James Madison, William & Mary, Liberty and Radford. The squad will also face in-state foes Virginia and Lynchburg College in preseason contests.
