4-H Day Camp held

Nineteen Cloverbud 4-H youth (ages 5-8) recently took part in a 4-H day camp where they learned more about themselves while experiencing various educational programs.

They learned about various wild and exotic animals in a visit to the Virginia Safari Park. They made their own homemade pizza for lunch one day and spent the day exploring various types of crafts — mixed media, watercolors and more. They also visited Bear Creek Lake State Park where they enjoyed a program about turtles and wetlands.

Cloverbud programs are specifically geared toward youth ages 5-8. Buckingham 4-H offers several after-school and day-off from school programs during the school year, but is also currently seeking caring and supportive adults interested in being trained to start a Cloverbud Club with a small number of youth.
