The Town of Farmville is seeking community feedback regarding its website in an effort to launch a top to bottom redesign.

According to a press release, the survey can be found at www.farmvilleva.com by clicking on the link at the top of the page. 

All survey submissions must be completed by Monday. It is also available at the town treasurer’s office for completion.

According to the release, the survey was created so residents have an opportunity to be a part of the website’s redesign. Residents, business owners and visitors are invited to express what they would like to see and what they think will most benefit the website.

Survey questions include topics such as how residents utilize the site and how they would like to see it change in the future. There are also spaces for general feedback and comment. Participants in the survey are encouraged to voice ideas to help make the website more convenient for visitors to the site.

Letterpress Communications, a local marketing firm, is completing the project, the press release stated.

Efforts to redesign the website stem from a desire to modernize the website.

Because many people turn to the website for information needs, it has an impact on Farmville’s appeal to guests, according to the release.

According to the release, the website is often a first stop for visitors, prospective residents, business owners and others interested in learning more about the area.

“With the approaching vice presidential debate, traffic to the website is set to experience a dramatic uptick,” the press release stated.

The changes to the site will not only make the website more attractive, but will also help to make it more streamlined and easier for town residents to navigate. Access to payments, forms, guidelines and voting information will be added. There will also be updated details about town-sponsored events and government meetings.

“The town hopes its site can function as a helpful and easy-to-use portal to any information residents may need,” the release stated.
