The Heart of Virginia Farmer’s Market is hosting a tomato tasting, the monthly Pet Chickens of Virginia small animal swap and the Central Virginia Solar Co-op informational booth on Saturday, July 9, from 8 a.m.– noon at the STEPS parking lot, 225 Industrial Park Road, Farmville.

Vendors will have fresh tomatoes and unique tomato and seasonal vegetable recipes for visitors to taste. The market will also have a children’s table with tomato-themed crafts and a marketwide scavenger hunt. 

The Heart of Virginia Farmers Market Association provides locally produced fresh foods to the residents of Prince Edward County and surrounding communities.
