A full-color, glossy magazine about life in Farmville and the Heart of Virginia will begin publishing this summer.

Farmville the Magazine will be published eight times annually by the staff of The Farmville Herald.

“We are excited about this addition to our family of print and digital products,” said Steve Stewart, president of Farmville Newsmedia LLC, which publishes The Herald and related print and digital products. “The magazine, through outstanding photography and feature writing, will capture the culture, artistry and social fabric of Farmville and the surrounding area.”

The magazine will be distributed free at high-traffic retail and service businesses throughout the community.

“The generous support of area businesses that have purchased advertising space in Farmville the Magazine will allow us to make the magazine free to readers — both residents and visitors,” Stewart said.

Farmville the Magazine will publish monthly in the spring and fall, along with a summer issue in June and a holiday issue in December.
