Edward Olean Womack, 86, of Rice passed away on June 26, 2016. He was born on May 16, 1930 in Darlington Heights, to the late William L. and Anita Hodges Womack.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Woodrow “Foots” Womack and Newton Womack and two sisters, Mattie Barr and Margie Morgan.

He is survived by his sister Gladys Franklin of Evergreen; daughters, Terri W. Johnson (Michael), Frances W. Hallinen (William), Tammy W. Southall (Mark) and Laurie W. Covington all of Farmville, eight grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 30, 3 p.m. at Spring Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 29, from 6-8 p.m. at Puckett Funeral Home.
